TruGrit Traction — Crawler Wheels, Tracks & Traction Cleats

Sewer inspection crawler traction products — carbide-gritted wheels, crawler tracks and cleats that keep inspection crawlers moving through grease, sludge, slime, debris and slick pipe. Compatible with major CCTV crawler systems where factually applicable.

01

The Problem: Slick Pipe

Standard crawler wheels lose traction the moment the pipe gets ugly — and ugly pipe is exactly when you need the crawler to keep moving and keep inspecting.

Built for Difficult Conditions

  • Grease build-up — the traction killer in sanitary lines
  • Sludge and slime — wheels spin, inspections stall
  • Debris fields — inconsistent contact, inconsistent data
  • Slick pipe — smooth surfaces with zero grip

TruGrit products improve crawler traction and performance in exactly these conditions.

The Traction Products

Flagship

Carbide-Gritted Crawler Wheels

Carbide grit bonded to the wheel surface — teeth that bite through grease, sludge and slime where standard wheels spin. The core TruGrit upgrade.

Full Contact

Crawler Tracks

Track systems that spread traction across the pipe surface — grip in the conditions that stop wheeled crawlers entirely.

Retrofit

Traction Cleats

Added-grip cleats for crawlers that need more bite without a full wheel or track conversion.

Support

Crawler Accessories

Sewer camera crawler accessories from the TruGrit lineup — specified per crawler and pipe condition.

03

Compatibility — Stated Carefully

TruGrit products fit crawlers from multiple major CCTV inspection manufacturers. Compatibility with a system is a fact about the hardware — it is not a claim of representation, sponsorship or endorsement by that manufacturer.

Fact

Compatible Where Accurate

Where a TruGrit product fits a crawler system, we say so — because it's factual hardware compatibility, confirmed per configuration.

Not Implied

No False Affiliation

Tell Equipment does not represent, and TruGrit is not endorsed by, every manufacturer whose crawler accepts these products. Fit ≠ affiliation.

04

Who Needs TruGrit

Fleet Operators

Inspection Programs

Municipalities, sewer authorities and contractors running regular CCTV programs through difficult collection systems.

Contractors

Rehab Crews

Pre-rehab inspection through grease and debris — the crawlers that can't stall mid-line.

Anyone

Slipping Crawlers

If your crawler spins in lines it used to complete, traction is the fix — before you assume the drive is failing.

TruGrit FAQ

Will TruGrit wheels fit my crawler?
Compatibility is confirmed per crawler make, model and wheel configuration — tell us what you run and we confirm before quoting. Fit is a hardware fact; it doesn't imply any manufacturer relationship.
Wheels, tracks or cleats?
Depends on your worst pipe: grease and slime usually answer wheels; heavy sludge and debris often justify tracks; cleats add grip without a full conversion. We spec against your actual conditions.
Does this affect my crawler warranty?
Warranty questions are confirmed per crawler manufacturer — ask with your quote and we'll give you the straight answer for your system.
Which states do you cover?
All of them — TruGrit is a nationwide, fully signed dealer line.
My crawler slips — is it traction or the drive?
Could be either. Traction loss happens at the wheel-pipe interface; drive faults happen regardless of surface. Our crawler repair diagnostics separate the two — often on a video call.
